4" Max Clean Carbon Filter
The 4" Max Clean carbon filter has a 4" flanged top and measures 12 1/2" tall and 6 1/4" wide. The Max Clean filter contains over 4 pounds of activated carbon (not cheap cocoa-carbon found in low budget filters). Includes a white fabric Pre-Filter that filters dust and particulate matter before it reaches the carbon filter.
The 4" Max Clean carbon filter is made with a "packed" design to give consistent performance, long life (up to 24 months), and is completely maintenance free. The "packed" bed of activated carbon prevents "channeling" which can allow dirty air through the system.
Correct filtration requires the exchange of air in the growing area in a period of 4-5 minutes. Calculate your requirements by multiplying the length times the width times the height of your grow room to get the total cubic feet. Divide this number by 5 to determine the proper filter size needed.
For example, if your growing area is 10 feet long by 6 feet wide by 7 feet tall, it contains a total of 420 cubic feet. To filter this area in five minutes, you would need to use a fan with a CFM (cubic feet per minute) rating of approximately 84.
